BWF World Championships – PV Sindhu won semifinals and will face Carolina Marin

BWF World Championships 2018, In game of Badminton Women’s Singles Semifinals, our beloved PV Sindhu defeated world’s no 2 Akane Yamaguchi (from Japan) in straight games to enter the World Championships finals 2018 where she will now face Carolina Marin (Spain’s) for the title.

The semifinal match lasted for 55 minutes and Sindhu defeated Yamaguchi with 21-16, 24-22. Initially Sindhu stared with little bad start but later in game, she gained her rhythm, and won the first set comfortably 21-16. In the second set, Yamaguchi kept a tidy lead from the start. At one stage, PV Sindhu was trailing 12-19 but displayed a brilliant play of badminton, levelling the scores with straight 8-points win. PV Sindhu will now face Carolina Marin on Sunday in the finals title 2018.
